Emergencies
any hour, any day
Shut out, keys gone, or a key snapped in the cylinder. The phone is picked up at any hour, and before anyone sets off you are told honestly how long the drive is.
A locksmith for every kind of door in Xàbia: the wooden doors behind iron grilles in the old town, the ground-floor houses of the port, the apartment blocks at the Arenal and the villas on the hills from the Montgó to Cap de la Nau.
If the door has just shut on you, ring now: the phone is answered at any hour, every day.

Answered in English and Spanish. Planned jobs are booked at a time that suits you.
Each block below is a kind of job, marked with its own sign the way the masons of Sant Bertomeu marked the stones they cut. Open the one that sounds like your door.
any hour, any day
Shut out, keys gone, or a key snapped in the cylinder. The phone is picked up at any hour, and before anyone sets off you are told honestly how long the drive is.
flats, town houses, villas
An Arenal flat, a port house or a villa door: opened through the latch or the cylinder wherever the door allows, so it still shuts and locks afterwards. Drilling only if you agree to it.
booked work
New euro cylinders, anti-snap and anti-bump upgrades and worn multipoint locks on the front door. A new set of locks when you buy a house, or when too many people have had keys.
everything past the front door
The garden gate, the aluminium slider onto the terrace, the shutter, the pool room and the old riurau turned into a summer room: the locks of a villa that are not the front door.
owners and managers
Guests let back in, cylinders changed between seasons, and keypad locks that a manager can trust. Work arranged with whoever holds the keys when the owner is in another country.
opening only
Keys locked inside, or a door that will not open. The car is opened without damage, and that is all this service does.
port, Arenal, old town
Shutter locks, glass shop doors, back doors onto lanes and office locks, worked around opening hours. Shops, bars, restaurants, offices and hotels.
secure tonight, upgrade after
A forced or slipped door made to close and lock on the first visit. Then, when you are ready, a latch that cannot be slipped, a guard plate or a high-security cylinder.
villas, lets, businesses
Safes that refuse the code, have flat batteries, or were left locked by the last person to use them. New safes fixed to the wall or floor.
Xàbia grew in three places that have little in common, and a door in each asks for different things.
Walled until 1874 and built in honey-coloured tosca stone. Old wooden doors, mortice locks and iron grilles: repaired where they can be, and opened without harming the ironwork.
The fishermen’s quarter by the port: whitewashed ground-floor houses whose front doors open straight onto the street, so the cylinder is the first thing a passer-by can reach.
Apartment blocks round the only sandy beach in the municipality, with street gates, portals and armoured doors. Say the block and the floor and the right door is found first time.
Villas from Tosalet to Granadella, each with a gate, a front door and a slider. In summer the roads to Granadella and Portitxol have barriers; the urbanisations and towns page lists them all.
The same four steps whether it is a lockout at the Arenal or a booked cylinder change on a villa in Cap Martí.
Every guide on the site comes from this kind of job, for example why a door pulled shut is not a locked door.
Say where you are and what has happened. A photo of the lock or the door helps more than any description.
An honest estimate of the travel time before anyone sets off, never a promise of minutes.
Nothing is started until you have heard what the job costs and said yes.
The door is opened or the lock is fitted, you check that it locks, and you pay by cash, card or Bizum.
Yes. Every urbanisation in Xàbia is covered, from Tosalet and Cap Martí to Balcón al Mar, Granadella and the Montgó side, and so are Benitatxell, Teulada-Moraira, Gata de Gorgos, La Xara, Jesús Pobre and Dénia. Give the urbanisation, the street and something you can see from the gate.
Yes. Calls and messages are answered in English or Spanish, so you can explain the door in whichever is easier, and the price and the work are explained the same way.
No. This business does not cut, copy or supply keys of any kind, and does nothing with car keys. The work is opening doors, cars and safes, changing and repairing locks, and securing doors after a break-in. Not offered: cutting, copying or duplicating keys of any kind; spare keys for houses, gates, garages or padlocks; car keys: cutting, supplying, replacing or programming them; transponder chips and remote controls for vehicles; ignition barrels and ignition switches; keys for motorbikes, scooters or vans.
Once the door or the lock has been seen, you are told what the job costs, and the work starts only when you agree. You pay at the end by cash, card or Bizum.
Yes, if someone you trust can let the locksmith in. Agree the job and the price by phone, WhatsApp or email first, and the new keys are handed to the person you name.
Ring and say where you are. Send a photo on WhatsApp if the lock is unusual, and you will be told what it needs before anyone comes out.
